As all Starbucks, they have wifi. It seems like everyone is using it since it took quite a while to get connected and it wasn't very fast. The coffee is like you expect at any Starbucks. The service level wasn't as good as I'm accustomed to when I go to Starbucks. You didn't feel welcomed but at least I got the coffee I came here for.

It's weird that there is a Starbucks on Mackinac Island. But don't be a hater! It's still the best coffee and tea on the island by far (and yes we did try nearly everywhere). It's pretty bare bones inside and the service was friendly but oh so slow. At least my wife had her dark roast and I got a decent chai latte. The baked goods were nearly non existent and I didn't dare inquire about almond milk. But each morning people were lined up for their familiar cup of joe. It was not cash only like another reviewer thought. They'll gladly even take your Starbucks gold card. Don't worry people, I'm sure chains will not be invading your island any time soon. This particular one, however, doesn't seem to need your approval. They are doing just fine. And it was a welcome sight after some mediocre morning cups on Mackinac Island.

The place is a barebones Starbucks. But it gets the 1 star for how dirty it is. I lost count of the flys in the store. The staff were not friendly at all. I would go anywhere else.

Ok, I was thanking heaven to discover a Starbucks at all in this little corner of the world. It's goofy, but just seeing their sign makes me feel happy. My drink order went smoothly. The girl that took my order was smart and friendly. While I waited for my drink, I could not help but notice the condition of the place. I've been to a lot of Starbucks in my day, and I've always found them to be consistently clean, organized, and generally well kept. I'm sorry, but the store looked like a tornado went through it. The floors were dirty, the display cases were messy, the food displays were nearly empty, and the garbage cans were full. I've never seen a Starbucks like this. Sorry guys, you need to step it up.

Cash only. Need I say more? Yes it's Mackinaw Island but this is a huge company, not a local mom and pop diner. Be forewarned before you order!

Felt a little out of place on the island but at least they tried to fit in. I was a bit embarrassed getting Starbucks while on Mackinac Island but it was so cold in early May and we needed a warm beverage. But mostly we needed a place to sit indoor. The only seating in town seems to be benches outside so it was nice to sit inside Starbucks to warm up between shops. They only have 3 tables but luckily it wasn't crowded. And it's pretty much the only free wifi in town. Service and drinks were standard like any other Starbucks. Nothing special. Everyone on the island had a Starbucks cup in hand so clearly they are doing well.

Same coffee as every other Starbucks, which I like , which is why I even gave it two stars. Otherwise disappointing. Service was terrible; indifferent and downright rude. And they got my drink wrong....on an otherwise empty morning. I feel a little guilty for frequenting the one chain store on this otherwise 'locally owned' island. But it was the only place to get to go coffee before my 9am ferry. Sigh.....I think I understand why there were locals upset about Starbucks moving in. They're just not meeting the level of service of the rest of the island, when they shod really be trying to exceed it.

Service was very poor I had to wait 20 minutes for a blended drink. They also made my drink wrong! I went to complain and they said they had no manager, and if I had a problem take it up with the island website.

Why can't they decorate it to resemble the island style? But that's not why I'm giving it one star... We waited forever for our drinks. We know it's usually a wait, we've been to Starbucks in NYC, Chicago.... All the big cities where there are huge lines. We get it. The problem... This is the FIRST one we've been to where they only fill your cup halfway. Seriously?????

This is a franchise, not a corporation. I'm not sure exactly why, but that means they don't honor rewards. I was very disappointed to visit one of the two starbucks near my home town to find out that I couldn't get a birthday drink for free. Also, their prices and advertisements in the store are wrong - a venti drip was advertised as like $5 and some change, and only came out to $2.50. Plus they advertised their dark roast as a pour over, which I was excited about, and it definitely was just drip coffee that was brewed who knows how long ago. They should've tried harder once they denied my birthday drink and filled me with disappointment, instead of acting incredibly indifferent and not making up for anything. I think I'll spend my money on local coffee next time I'm on mackinac - which is frequently - and I'll be encouraging everyone I interact with to do the same. I've lived in seattle and seen what starbucks is really like, and this place puts the company to shame.

This was a great way to get pumped up for a fun day on the island.

The service here was too slow. Had 4 workers on a Saturday and the line was hardly moving. Need to either hire more workers on the weekends or better train the employees.

A little out of place on mackinac island but still good. Girls loved the hot chocolate on the chilly autumn day.

The addition of Starbucks to this beautiful island was a disastrous decision made by the city managers. For them to even consider adding this high profile, corporate giant to this quaint island was ludicrous. It surely takes away the ambiance of "getting away from it all" the island has offered for many years. The decor of the restaurant is modern and out of place for this get away island as well. I will NEVER visit this Starbucks when I am on the island and I spend approximately 2 weeks per year there. People should boycott this and petition the city managers as well. This is a sad moment in Mackinac Island history.

I visited the island this summer with my two kids and this was the place we picked after cycling around the entire Island. It was a familiar face - we knew what they offered and what the prices would be. My little boy got his beloved apple juice and my tween and I got our favorite frappacinos, along with (what passes as) scones and a brownie to share. We copped the seats in the corner and used their clean restroom. Having lived on the Island for 6 months in my younger years, we ate supper back in St. Ignace. (IMO, if you can't eat at the Grand hotel, don't bother).
